What is Idukki cardamom?
Idukki cardamom is green cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum) grown in the misty high ranges of Idukki district, Kerala — India's premier cardamom belt. Pods from this region are prized for intense sweet–floral aroma, vibrant green colour and high volatile oil content. RNS cardamom is single-origin from Idukki and carries GI (Geographical Indication) recognition.
How is Kerala cardamom graded?
Kerala cardamom is graded chiefly by pod size in millimetres — from mixed bulk lots up to 8.5 mm super bold. Popular sizes include 7–8 mm and 8 mm bold. Every lot is sorted for size, colour and moisture to the specification you order.
Where does RNS cardamom come from?
All of our cardamom is single-origin, grown in the high ranges of Idukki, Kerala. We receive pods directly from growers through our licensed auction — GI-tagged and traceable.
What cardamom grades and sizes do you supply?
We supply the full grade ladder — super bold 8.5 mm, bold 8 mm, 7 mm, 6 mm, 5–6 mm and bulk. First-quality, normal, split and custom specs are prepared on request. Clean and unclean lots are both available.
Do you supply cardamom seeds and husk wholesale?
Yes. Beyond whole pods we supply decorticated cardamom seeds for food processing and flavour extraction, and cleaned cardamom husk for tea blends and infusions — all single-origin from Idukki, available in bulk export sacks.
Do you offer private label and custom packaging?
Yes. We pack in consumer sizes from 1 kg to 50 kg, in bulk export sacks, PP and jute bags and carton boxes, and we offer private-label packaging for retail brands and importers.
How should whole cardamom be stored?
Whole pods keep their aroma far longer than ground cardamom. Store them in a cool, dry place in airtight packaging away from direct light; kept this way, the essential oils stay sealed inside the pod for many months.
